No further attempts to regain contact succeded. Almost all the world's Time Vision equipment had been destroyed, its leading producers and technicians lost forever, perhaps wandering the stony rocks of Sinai like a second lost tribe. Shortly after this debacle, these safaris into the past were eliminated from the world's TV programmes. As one priest with a taste for ironic humor remarked to his chastened television congrgation: 'THe big channel up in the sky has its ratings too.'
